With every passing hour it becomes more and more evident that Musk has the mentality of a 5-year old and has only built successful businesses by getting lucky finding the right people and throwing money at them. He has no idea what he's doing.

Vine hasn't been touched in years. Infrastructure it relied on is going to be gone now. Making it work with the new infrastructure is going to involve significant rewriting. Demanding that be done in 2 months is unrealistic and is more evidence Musk has no idea what he's doing.

The Twitter situation is basically last year's Freenode implosion, except without the convenience of a newly stood-up replacement and with more Dunning-Kruger afflicted VCs

Like dude, if you aren't going to step into my world and actually understand what I'm trying to do here, just suck it up and ack my patch.

It is not my job to drag you kicking and screaming until you either give up or have a lightbulb moment.

I have no problem with normal code review comments, things that actually point out issues or possible things to improve. But endless arguments about overall architecture or goals from maintainers who clearly haven't stopped to think about it get very, very tiring.

I try to write the best possible code to solve the problems at hand. It is *very* frustrating to have to defend it over hours/days/weeks/months because the other side doesn't bother to actually stop and think about the problem we're trying to solve and why.

Between this and drive-by reviewers that make nitpick comments (most of which are wrong), no wonder stuff takes forever to upstream.

It should *not* take email chains that don't even fit on my screen to upstream a 1700-line patchset that implements 3 kernel modules.

I think we all know what must be done here.
