Luminous on her friend Roland Barthes (and other men). Yet her 1990s piece on death of cinephilia is still way off (90s were a golden age)

Fans of Brazilian film: at dinner last night we talked about Mario Peixoto and his 1931 masterpiece Limite. Director Helena Solberg showed me a book signed by him to her.
Then we discussed the great Cavalcanti. Filmmaker next to me knew him.
Two legends, both (queer) innovators.
