Mike Inouye Stephen B Montgomery Francisco De La Vega Gerome Breen AllofUsResearch 💯 agree that UKB has been transformative for careers (mine & others) and the field. As far as national biobanks go, UKB really is an exception with such broad access. Hopefully, all will ultimately fall suit.
This is so true - the AllofUsResearch access issue (the lack of access outside the USA) makes me and many other scientists very uncomfortable. It looks and feels like biobank nationalism.

The Lancet is published by Elsevier, they make huge profits from authors who submit their work & peers who review it for free.

Would add academics have a special role in society- theyre meant to be public pillars of knowledge, objective, unconflicted, *generous*
