On Sep 3rd , MOU regarding cooperation in the field of defense material was signed between Ministry of Defense of Japan and Norway at ATLA. Further expansion and strengthening of each type of cooperation are expected in the future between Japan and Norway. #Norway

On Sep 2, PVM Miyake visited Arlington National Cemetery and laid a wreath. The Cemeterey is the final resting place for approximately 400,000 active duty service members, veterans and their families.  #JMOD #JSDF

At the Women Peace Security Forum hosted by Philippines Army Philippine Army , Director for International Cooperation on #WPS and Chief of WPS promotion office of GSDF introduced the latest efforts on WPS by #JMOD/#JSDF and exchanged dialogue. 🇯🇵🇵🇭continue our cooperation on WPS!

PVM Miyake visited Stimson Center on Sep 3. He participated in a roundtable discussion with Ms. Tatsumi Yuki, Mr. James L. Schoff and other distinguished experts, and had a broad discussion on the security challenges surrounding the Japan-U.S. Alliance.

On Sep 3, PVM Miyake visited U.S. Naval Academy, renowned for its long tradition since 1845. MSDF Officer Candidate School and the Academy have been exchanging students since 1971 and learned from each other. PVM encouraged MSDF officer and students there.

On Sep 4, DM Kihara visited HMAS Kuttabul in Sydney, Australia and conducted an on-site tour. He also offered flowers at the memorials for the souls of Japanese, Australian and British service members who died in the attack by the former Japanese Navy in 1942. #Australia

PVM Miyake visited Department of Defense 🇺🇸 and exchanged views with Assistant Secretary of Defense Dr. Ely Ratner on Sep 4. They discussed concrete efforts to modernize the 🇯🇵🇺🇸 Alliance based on the agreements between the Ministers at “2+2” meeting held in the end of July in Tokyo.
