Politicians keep demanding excellence from teachers, students, and schools without having excellent budgets and working conditions to match that energy.

And they wonder why people are furious.

When you have little kids that like to “help” decorate the tree… 🎄😆

First grader: What can you do when you're sad?

Me: Well, sometimes it helps to talk to someone about it. Some people might also feel better with a hug, or a back rub. But not everyone.

Other first grader: You could try petting a cat about it.

My Grandpa passed away this morning and I found out before school. He had a long life and I’m grateful for many good memories.

It’s weird to go to school and teach when something in your personal life is hard or sad. But it’s also so helpful/healing to focus on kids.
