Hard to comprehend the scale of the flood disaster in Pakistan, the 5th most populated nation in the world.

Nearly 1400 dead, 1 million houses damaged or destroyed, and 50,000,000 people displaced.

43 people were killed by Israel in Gaza, including 15 children and four women, and more than 300 were injured.

15 kids. Born into a brutal blockade. Their lives defined by wars, bombardment, trauma, fear, poverty, isolation, and dehumanization by the rest of the world.

Any analysis of Gaza that neglects to mention that its people are survivors of Israel's ethnic cleansing, who were expelled from their villages and corralled into a thin strip of land so that foreign settlers can take their place, is misleading and incomplete.

Today a soldier entered Taban, a village in Masafer Yatta, and gave residents demolition orders for all they have: Their homes, water wells, roads - to be destroyed probably this week. A community erased.
