There are nearly 30 million victims of human trafficking across the world—roughly the population size of Texas. On #WorldDayAgainstTraffickinginPersons, USAID and our partners remain committed to doing all we can to #EndTrafficking and prevent this heinous crime.

On Aug 8, the Omdurman Maternity Hospital, the largest in Sudan, reopened after it was bombed by the RSF at the beginning of the war. On Aug 9, the RSF bombed it again, cutting off access for those in need. The RSF and SAF must come to talks and agree to end this conflict.

Encouraged by the SAF’s statement that they will reopen the Adre border crossing for humanitarian aid. USAID partners are on the ground and ready to move aid into Sudan.  We urge the SAF to let aid cross without restriction and call on the RSF to facilitate unfettered access.
