Two things are true: Ignoring what people care about isn't the way to go.
Also, informing people that there are existential issues at stake for all, and for some groups in particular, might be a good way to go (without the snark from the original tweet).

Without commenting on these individual races, I want to urge people think about this race by race with regional variation with a lot of new information coming in about historic turnout. National polls aren't just that helpful.

Got to be one of the most racist things on US TV in 50 years. Carlson talking about white women 'as the key to reproducing the white race,' and claiming black people are targeting white women for that reason.

Adds that a black anchor 'can barely speak a coherent sentence.'

From the newsletter, the boildown: 'Black women have been found to have twice the incidence of uterine cancer as white women. And using hair straighteners has been shown to produce twice the number of uterine cancers as not.'

We literally harm and kill Black women with racist hair expectations.

Especially considering the alternative. Campaign coverage 10+ years ago was generally full of cliches, insider groupthink and regurgitated conventional wisdom, with little concern for what voters actually believed. Some of those things have probably improved but idk.
