I still can’t process how Israel obliterated al-Shifa hospital in front of the world’s eyes, & massacred hundreds of Palestinians & bulldozed their bodies just few weeks ago.

How could the world let this happen? How it moved on? How’s the massacres still happening?

It's important to remember that Edward Said taught at Columbia for 40 years. Columbia has a Centre for Palestinian Studies due to his scholarship. He unabashedly navigated those wretched spaces; confronting and exposing what no one else would— to build an entire new discipline.

Having other gig worker/freelance friends to talk to over the last year has honestly saved my health & sanity SO MUCH.

Police overreactions are a sign of weakness. Congressional hearings for college protests are a sign of weakness. The ruling class is afraid of the rising consciousness of the masses. They know this is all held together by our submission. Solidarity with the Columbia students.

In all seriousness, I don’t think Americans understand what’s happening, or how bad it is. Our politicians on every level (presidents, mayors, governors) universities, businesses, and police forces are ignoring their own citizens in favor of another country (Israel).

We live in a fascist police state where dissent is criminal.

“You can’t arrest us all” is actually an approach with a lot of historic precedent and success. Columbia is playing with fire by calling the NYPD on their own students.

The homepage of the NYT on a day when Israel bombed a playground for displaced children, ProPublica proved that Blinken ignored human rights abuses by Israel for months, and The Intercept revealed that the White House has been covertly attempting to block Palestinian statehood.

Palestinian voices are still being silenced. Magazines will publish anyone's take on the war, on writings about the war, etc, but rarely have they sought out 🇵🇸 voices. We're trying to break through; meanwhile, we are still being regularly cancelled. The privilege is astounding.
