Man comes round to do a small job this morning. Asks to use the toilet. Man uses the toilet - flushes and comes straight out and does not wash his hands. Why such poor hygiene standards esp in other peoples homes?

Alongside all the mourning there is comfort in how the Sudanese people have pooled their few resources and opened up their homes - a reminder that a country is not a place, but a spirit.
