This is a great exhibition exploring and inverting the stories that sit, and once celebrated, across the RIBA's HQ. Thanks to Arinjoy Sen for explaining his painstaking work that turns the symbolism on its head & Neal Shasore for your knowledge and inspiration guiding this show

When I moved to London in the mid 1980s I loved how it had the Trafaglar Square 24 hour post office - sadly now a Pret. It was up there with buying the Sunday papers outside Leicester Square tube station on the way home from a Saturday night out to make me feel London was special

The early worm catches the ... er... post. Over recent weeks I've been staggered by the number of central London Royal Mail post boxes that have theirr 'last' collection at 9am. Now this is Covent Garden. How can a single very early collection be classed as the 'last'. Ofcom?

I'm with edwin heathcote on the impact of Paul Auster's writing. His penmanship and on-point presence in both literary and New York life were immense.

I am using this lovely photo to express my great sadness on hearing of the death of Rosemarie MacQueen. She had an amazing mind and brought great insight - on heritage, planning, place - to all her roles. RIP Rosemarie - you will be missed. Jackie Sadek Susan Freeman Victoria Hills MRTPI

Great example of how video games might 'up skill' navigation. Lots of mass online games now really do push navigation skills. Level design is a huge impressive art. See Max Pears amazing podcast on level design.

In a departure for Lunch with the FT, a duo: the Pet Shop Boys. The “East End Boys” chose a West End venue and took me to their wonderful whizz thru 80s London, including a gloriously uncluttered Waterloo Station, where the typography shines out
