Sunak framing getting people off disability benefits as a “moral mission” is a Victorian dog whistle. It frames being able to work as a virtue and being too sick to as a moral failing. It suggests the solution is, not structural change, but disabled people trying harder.

Great start to the day at the new Health Equals campaign on the Southbank. Shocking to see such stark differences in life expectancy across the UK. Do have a look and support the campaign #MakeHealthEqual

Does it work like this? If someone with big ear lobes does a bad thing, I should say all people with big ear lobes do bad things, and all bad things are done by people with big ear lobes?

Absolutely amazing trip with YorkshireCoastNature Mark James Pearson today off Staithes, watching minke whales and bottle nose dolphins galore. But this great shearwater stole the show. Also loads of sooties, great and Arctic skua, glimpse of roseate tern and Caspian gull.
