TIL the bag check thing Spirit uses to make sure your bag fits into the overhead bin is MUCH smaller than the actual bin. I had to force my bag into it but then it easily fit into the actual overhead bin. I wonder how much money they make off making people pay for bags that way.

That was a first. My boarding pass and ID went into the security tray at the airport (I’m extra cautious and always put take them out of my pocket) but neither came out the other end side 😳

Fortunately, they were able to find them but that was pretty scary.
