This week's blog covers the launch, finally, of two WorldView Legion satellites, new machine learning #satellite dataset released by Satellogic, & satellite rediscovered after 25 years missing! buff.ly/4dxXtH9 #EarthObservation #Space #remotesensing
A lost satellite, missing for 25 years, has rediscovered last month. Infra-Red Calibration Balloon, launched in April 1974, was lost from tracking in the 1990's - it also slipped away in the 1970s! buff.ly/4dxXtH9 #EarthObservation #Space #remotesensing

It's our 12th Birthday this week! Amazingly, it is also out 539th blog - maybe we should have celebrated the 500th more, but hey 539 is a celebratory number right! buff.ly/3wpkR97 #EarthObservation #RemoteSensing
Pixalytics is celebrating its 12th Birthday this week! In our 539th blog - we were surprised about that too! - we're looking back over our journey and some of the more unusual opportunities we've been involved with! buff.ly/3wpkR97 #EarthObservation #RemoteSensing
Pixalytics is 12 years old this week! In our 539th blog we're looking back over a journey, including the multiple offices we've been Plymouth Science Park and and some of the more unusual opportunities we've been involved with! buff.ly/3wpkR97 #EarthObservation #RemoteSensing

Last week was the 25th anniversary of Landsat-7's launch! It's orbited the planet over 130,000 times & added 3 million + images to the Landsat archive, a dataset going back 60 years. Data collection has stopped, but it's still up there! buff.ly/4b4eirl #EarthObservation
Yesterday saw the launch of Maxar's two WorldView-Legion #EarthObservation very high resolution optical satellites by SpaceX on its Flacon 9 rocket. It's great to see this much delayed launch happen, and will be exciting to see the imagery they collect. buff.ly/4b4eirl
According to the Copernicus Climate Change Service we're currently experiencing months of consecutive hottest temperatures recorded for the time of year, both in terms of air and sea surface temperatures. buff.ly/3TTUn7y #EarthObservation
Looking at three reports on how #EarthObservation and #satellite data is helping monitor the impact of climate change in terms of temperature, coral bleaching, and flamingos! buff.ly/3TTUn7y
Looking at SpaceX's latest innovation offering a new dedicated rideshare mission for satellites looking for a mid-inclination orbit, with the first mission including a number of #EarthObservation satellites in its payload. buff.ly/49ur7Kj
Mid-inclination orbits are becoming more popular for satellites to provide better coverage for low & mid latitudes, & SpaceX's is offering a dedicated Bandwagon rideshare mission for these satellites, with its first launch last week. buff.ly/49ur7Kj #EarthObservation
