I.e. Suella Braverman would very much prefer Rishi Sunak to be the Leader who loses the next election (and not her).

Surely there must come a time when even the Tory Party realises that after everything that has happened and after every that they have done the electorate is simply sick and tired of them.
Rishi Sunak should have a word with Sir John Major. But he won’t.

Graceless in defeat.
Apart from Harrow Borough Council, Susan Hall has never been elected to anything.
She became a member of the London Assembly in 2017 under the old system of proportional representation as simply one name on a list of tory party candidates.

I’m slightly ambivalent about Sadiq Khan but let me be churlish and say how absolutely delighted I am that Susan Hall lost 🥳

Jarnail Singh is very obviously a completely shameless liar. He should have no right to call himself a solicitor after this excruciating performance SRA

Well it wouldn’t be an election without the totally absurd Boris Johnson managing to make it about him 🤡 bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politi…

Government is accountable to its electorate. He knows damn well a majority of voters want a General Election now and want him out. It’s almost like it’s a game.

So First Minister Humza Yousaf has already ruled out a deal, and Alex Salmond isn’t an elected MSP.
But he thought he’d try to get another bit of attention anyway…🤡 bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

I’m no American constitutionalist, but I’m going to suggest a first year law student would get laughed at if they came up with this guff.
Has it really come to this? 🤦‍♂️

Thus far I have been struck by the altogether underwhelming, unremarkable and frankly pedestrian quality of POL’s senior executives and their legal counsel.
Each contributing in their own way to one of the most grotesque miscarriages of justice in legal history.

I’ve never previously been a fan of nationalised industries.
But I might well have changed my mind.
My only gripe: I’d start with the water companies (and I wouldn’t wait 5 years). bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politi…

This is all slightly surreal. Call an election, and then maybe we can talk about these things? 🤔 bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politi…

Perhaps these public buildings could be repurposed and called a Court? And maybe they could be next to the ones Ministry of Justice sold off over the last 10 years? Just a thought 🤨

“After so many setbacks, the passing of the bill was a political win for Rishi Sunak….”

But in every other way it represents a complete failure: the reputational damage; the absurdity of Parliament asserting that which isn’t true; the grotesque cost. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politi…

“Voters are realistic enough not to expect a Labour government to be a congregation of saints, but they already look at the Tories as a cesspit of sinners….”
