Presumably you just shove your face into this and gobble as is to avoid falling into the traps set by Big Utensil and Big Seasoning.

Labor and the Coalition are both edging Australia towards a Chinese-style Great Firewall to keep political control of narratives on social media, using terms like 'misinformation' as the excuse. Being against free speech never makes you the good guys.

Lots of Melbourne people out defending their city tonight and I get it but the CBD is an absolute shadow of its former self and Andrews really screwed you guys hard on lockdowns and much else besides. Still love the surviving restaurants/bars when I do visit.

I didn't know Farrelly was still writing but she does ask a fair question: 'Almost everything we build now leaves the made world just a little more soulless, a little less enchanting. Why...are we building a world that nobody wants?'

Niche, but there’s something a bit Radetzky March about handing out citizenship for acts of heroism. I don’t disapprove.

This is all I hear anyone talking about down at the pub.

“$14.50 for a schooner!? Are you out of your mind?”

“Shut your pie hole, mate, we just came number two in the IMF budget rankings! How bloody good hey? Tap when you’re ready.”

I am reading Fareed Zakaria’s “Age of Revolutions” (airport purchase). It’s hilariously bad and he just breezily contradicts himself everywhere, but the worst is how little knowledge it assumes of readers. Literally “Calvinism … was named after John Calvin” stuff.

And it's the same with the Australian attempt to censor video of the Bishop being stabbed by a 'religious extremist'. If 9/11 or Pearl Harbor happened in an era of mass internet, would we have been denied seeing the 'shocking evil images' lest we think/feel the 'wrong' things?

Said it before and I'll say it again, ANA All Nippon Airways is the best way to get from Australia to New York even if technically a longer journey than via LAX ... great product, drops you right into JFK so no TSA nonsense, lovely crew, etc.

My prediction is that mass availability of ozempic etc will make thinness painfully middle class and the superior man will once again be marked out by his carefully cultivated appetites with body to match. dazeddigital.com/beauty/article…

What happens if we find out the guy who (allegedly) stabbed the bishop was also against lockdowns? Do we just call it even and go home?

There’s a funny new definition of social cohesion being pushed in Australia that basically comes down to “don’t talk about the thing.”
