Is anyone else having massive WordCamp Asia FOMO after noticing that their passport went under six months just days before they needed to enter the country but only discovering this after it was too late to renew their passport? Asking for a friend.

Everyone needs to chill a little. The princess is still getting some bed rest and catching up on her reading after surgery as these pictures from the palace prove. #nofilter

I looks like a scam is going around re Google's TOS update later this month. It was sent to my public email alias and doesn't include my name. Otherwise it looks quite convincing. Or Google have really messed up, but I'm treating it as a scam.

Exciting news for multisite users in WordPress 6.6! We're introducing a powerful new function: wp_prime_network_option_caches. This function allows you to prime caches for multiple network options with a single call.

Just got an email from #Ticketek saying they were hacked and some customers' details may have leaked. Then they charged me a $12.50 Details Leaked In A Hack fee

I can't stress enough how valuable attending WordCamps, meetups and other events has been to my career. If you can't afford to get to WordCamp Sydney this November, The Code Company may be able to help you.

I am slightly tempted to create a browser extension called FOMO that replaces all occurrences of "WCEU" with "WCEU (don't worry, I'm sure it won't be very good)".

I take back every bad thing I've ever said about PHP's handling of timezones. > PHP's date() function has a format specifier, 'B', which returns the Swatch Internet Time notation for a given time stamp.

Currently compiling some stats for a blog post. One stat of interest is that by the time I hit publish it will be 1,234 days since my previous blog post. Oops.

It appears some people like pre-commit hooks and some people don't. It's a real shame that all development processes need to be identical and it's impossible to decide what to do based on your individual project's needs.

My first substantial pull requests to WordPress Playground were recently merged. It's now possible to run the latest commit to WordPress a few minutes after it was committed, so contributors no longer need to wait for the nightly. tinyurl.com/wp-trunk
