Today (28 Aug) is the anniversary* of the Slavery Abolition Act, which abolished slavery throughout the British Empire. No acknowledgement of this landmark achievement from Sadiq Khan, of course, because Britons aren't allowed to feel anything but shame and guilt. *royal assent
