Our researcher Joe Beesley had a great day out collecting Oak cuttings with Johnatan Vilasboa & Amanda Rasmussen - Uni of Nottingham #WeAreUoN our partners on the Forestry Commission Tree Production Innovation Fund (TPIF) to get oak on it's own rooting system to help secure a future for our mighty oaks.

Super proud of this amazing person! Now Dr Findimila Dio Ishaya! It's been quite the journey we've been on together from masters through PhD - with three kids (one during PhD) and pandemic lockdowns with associated home schooling! I recommend her dedication to anyone hiring!

Just back from another great trip to Dr. Erin E. Sparks . Thanks for having us! Especially also thanks to The Royal Society for the international exchange grant! This marks the last of those funded trips but by no means the last of our collaboration!

Our fieldwork in search of 'Plus Trees' enables our researchers Dr Joe Beesley & Forestry Technician Ollie Stock to witness some rare wildlife.
This visit presented the near threatened Bird's-nest orchid, it grows using the nutrients from the roots of trees, in this case beech.
