Ray's Kanchenjunga

Found this trivia. Ray was shooting this 'Kanchenjunga' scene when a stranger interrupted Pahari Sanyal who played a bird-watcher in this film. Turns out the stranger was Dr Salim Ali whose book 'The Indian Hill Birds' Sanyal was seen reading in the scene.

The incredible photo captures the moment an Orangutan reached out to help a conservationist who appeared to be stuck in a river.

The picture was taken in a conservation forest area in Borneo as the man searched for snakes in the river to protect apes living in the area.
