Kenton Porker John Kirkegaard GRDC Greg Rebetzke Therese Mcbeath GRDC South 2024 will be the perfect year for long coleoptile trials. Generally in the past I haven't worried too much if a crop goes in dry as it typically rains within a finite period, but this year with seed sitting in dry soil for up to 2 months, the difference will be profound!

Looking for emerging seedlings at 130+mm soil depth following warm soil temperatures and significant furrow in-fill at Dowerin WA. Long coleoptile Mace18 performing well at this depth in the GRDC and CSIRO #LongColeoptileWheats project. Great work SLR - Field Research | Extension !
