My first, first author paper is out! We examined how simulated habitat complexity, through the addition of substrate in which prey can escape predation, affects the functional response of invasive European green crabs (Carcinus maenas) foraging on two different bivalve species.

We got to row Emma! Took her for a short spin yesterday just off La Gomera to check her systems. Our watermaker now works. Phew! Autotiller issues still to fix but we have time. Race start now moved to 13 Dec!

Mmmm, the weather is not looking super cooperative for a 12 Dec departure. (La Gomera is the white dot.) We might leave on the 10th instead. Stay posted!
