#1 - There are levels to this ... and Highland Springs (HSHS Football) showed once again why they're top-notch, representing VA in Florida and outlasting Loren Johnson's alma mater Miramar 20-14.
The road to the title goes through the Springers. As always.
#4 - Varina's Blue Devils (Varina Football) put forth an outstanding defensive performance at Indian River for their third straight season-opening shutout. Oh, sophomore DaMari Carter is a special talent, too.
