Please spread the news...
Still I recommend all conscious objectors to contact the local organisation of draft resistors (DFG-VK) to seek advise just in case before you contact the german authorities.

Important clarifications by Berlin senate rep on how Ukrainians with expired passports can not only stay in Germany (also confirmed by a German federal govt rep), but can obtain a German-issued travel document (if he can prove the need to travel).

Dear friends, is there anyone who is in the university protests in the US who can speak more deeply about the situation for international audiences? via Zoom

On my timeline, there are now images of war in Ukraine (camou, guns, tanks etc) followed by images of snipers on university rooftops and armored stormtroopers beating students in the US

As we're sliding into authoritarianism in a very 'gradually, then suddenly' way, let me draw your attention to the fact that we're also getting our very own arbitrary NGO-repressing law here in the US.

Russian liberal scholars since 2022: 'Jeremy, you can't deny the reality of public opinion'

Russian liberal scholars in 2024. 'This poll is BS because I don't like it'

One of the weirdest things about contemporary liberal so-called democracies is all the moralising one has to put up with when criminal political decisions are justified. War, migration, campus repression, you name it. As if they think we're all idiots, who can't spot propaganda.

As I wrote a few days ago, to sustain this level of blind support for Israel, the US must erode its own democracy.

And that is what we see happening on US campuses now. At Emory University, police even tasered a student after they had handcuffed him...

Chat with Ukrainian activist, who won UN funding after a decade of volunteering: 'The dreams I had as a volunteer have come true. I can now pay my girls [her colleagues] a decent salary. I dreamed of a cozy psychologist's room. We now have it. I wanted to be free, now we are.'

After all these years working with activists in far-away non-democratic countries, I should be able to make clinical, confident sense of why and how freedom of speech and assembly are being dismantled in the West right now, but I'm stunned and out of ideas.

Important reminder: politicians lie about migration issues more and more brazenly than most other policy areas. Esp when they claim to 'clamp down', close borders, round up and deport etc. They know it's legally/logistically impossible, but they still lie.

'Our Europe is mortal. It can die. It all depends on the choices we make, and those choices need to be made now,' said Macron before (I assume) taking a deep drag from his Gauloise cigarette.

American liberals & their midwit European vassals like the German Greens posture as fighters against 'autocracy' while they ban social media networks, crack down on pro-peace NGOs and blame protests on foreign powers. They are authoritarian to their core. x.com/therecount/sta…

There is no country in the world where people know as many MEPs' names and obsess as much about what they do and say as Georgia. Not by a long stretch.

This is not a good thing, FYI.

It's a terrible policy, but it's also a good moment to remind anxious people that:
- a passport is just a piece of paper, your citizenship doesn't expire with it
- if your host country requires you to have ID, they will find a way to make one for you
- help is out there
