If you're running Palo Alto Networks firewalls with GlobalProtect, check what version you're on and run through the workaround. There's supposed to be an update to patch today. arstechnica.com/security/2024/…

How is everyone doing logging nowadays with distributed environments? Are you sending it to the cloud (SaaS product) or do you have a site-to-site VPN where all logs are sent to?

Have to appreciate all the different equipment I get to test out. Been looking at the EnGenius stuff and it’s very easy to set up. Great price point for many companies.

The ESG510 has dual WAN abilities with failover or load balancing and 2.5 Gbps interfaces.

First day back from vacation and I end up on a whole day TAC session. That’s one way to wake up to reality 😂

After WiFi Design Day, my family spent 11 days exploring London and Paris. It was refreshing to stay away from work this amount of time. Although, I spent one hour fixing something :)

On the flight back, I'm feeling optimistic for what's next. Feeling renewed and very blessed…

Took a late call with Palo Alto Networks support and got ahold of a very helpful engineer. I’ve been very lucky lately. He was patient with me and the issue and took the time to explain how some features worked. Now I have more work to do :)

I hesitated to share this because I feared more confrontation towards Anaïs Urlichs and myself, but I think it's important for folks to see the true colors of people in this industry.
Never shame someone for speaking their mind w/good intent. Never silence women.

5,478 miles later, a few hours of sleep, and fueled on caffeine, I made it to WiFi Design Day in London and was not disappointed. rowelldionicio.com/over-the-pond-…

It’s an old Cisco slide but it’s as important today. Put your AP’s in the rooms, BUT put AP’s in the corridor at transition points as well to facilitate seamless roaming. Purely corridor deployments are not recommended, but purely room based deployments can have problems too.
