AI could be around twice as accurate as a biopsy at grading the aggressiveness of some sarcomas.
Results from the RADSARC-R study, supported by funding from The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity show that a new AI algorithm help speed up diagnosis and personalise treatment for people with sarcoma.
This The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and The ICR study found that an AI algorithm was far better than a biopsy at correctly grading the aggressiveness of sarcomas.
These results look promising. We welcome any research that helps patients receive better treatment.
