🚨 New Open Access Paper/Model/Data 🚨We are pleased to announce our new paper in Communications Earth & Environment! Here we assessed the phenology of intertidal seagrass across the North Atlantic coast of Western Europe and North Africa using satellite imagery! 🧵 rdcu.be/dN0ae

We also saw that temperature and light intensity were strongly related to these changes in Seagrass extent. This was achieved due to the model being able to accurately map intertidal seagrass visible above ground cover from the smallest to greatest extents.

While, general extent trends showed no evident latitudinal patterns, timing of peak in Intertidal Seagrass extent was far more variable in Southern European Sites, while Northern European Sites showed much more consistency over time.
