HC boy’s Track 2nd at the 21-team Pete Struck Invite, earning our 1st team hardware of the season. Michael Prieto & Aden Bandukwala were individual champs, Braden Tingler & Cooper Revord finishing 2nd, & our 4*4 of Parkins, Tingler, Maxwell and Bandukwala closed it out w/ a 🥇!

Proud moments for freshman Evan ‘The Postman’ Posthuma and senior James ‘speedy’ Melkus as we welcomed both to the sub-5 club today! 4:59.6 for James, 4:59.7 for Evan. 👏

HC Track and Field is hosting a shoe drive. Donation boxes are located at all entrances of the school. There will also be a collection event at Fridays meet. Please bring as many shoes as possible!

HCXC advances to State, keeping the streak alive! Big race from senior Evan Kurimay!

@runhcxc earns a spot in the state championships for the 14th year in a row, but this one required more fight than almost any of our previous qualifiers. Super proud of these men for showing resilience throughout a season of ups and down. On to Peoria!

One thing I did not anticipate when being hired to teach social studies at Hinsdale Central back on 2005 is that it meant I would get to be colleagues with Chris. I’m grateful for many lunchtime conversations about Track, music, cinema, history, and myriad other subjects. #legend
