I've had people come to me offering help, and then I have to fix all their chaos, sometimes while they're being nasty, and/or I'm expected to conform to their ways instead of getting help where I am, and this is when I'm vulnerable
if you're wondering why I live alone.

It's hot. We'll hit a high of 88f, or 31c, by late afternoon. Good day for movies. Or sleeping. Or both.
Awfully hot temps for April. Thankful as heck for air conditioning. So is Audrey.

May I point out that the only people continuing to perpetuate chemical imbalance in mental illness (& as a way to say any med explanation is bs, just explore inside yourself to overcome suffering) are those who have nothing to offer when best tx available becomes inaccessible.

I guarantee you that a large majority of mentally ill people already live with a great deal of self-imposed shame without people being encouraged to publicly pile on more.

Change is really hard, wonderful too. Sometimes I'm so sick, exhausted, down. I don't see it, the world, people, all that. Then there's a moment, nice, kind of like a bit of magic. I notice. The door to the world opens a crack.

I feel change in me. It's new, wild, disconcerting.

'It is ironic that many people who accuse medicine of presenting an overly reductive and simplistic understanding of mental health problems themselves cannot see beyond an overly reductive and simplistic understanding of the medical model.'
