Joseph Hone Print & Probability Back to report that ESTC holdings data is now up at estc.printprobability.org. Formatting is more than occasionally wonky, but it’s there!

It's been a real pleasure to improve our coverage of Icelandic printing on the USTC 📖🔍. is a fascinating country with a remarkable early print culture, which deserves to be better known. Paper Trails: Icelandic Manuscripts and Books

Our revels now are ended… CMU Libraries From Stage to Page exhibition coming down yesterday — look for the exhibition book out in May (book production takes forever, who knew?)

I've read all of the British Library's paper on their recent cyber-attack and have some thoughts from the perspective of someone who spent many years working in systems librarian roles in UK Higher Education libraries.

Great to see this article out, which makes sense of the ink stamps in some of the seventeenth-century drama Cambridge UL Special Collections (pictured is Nathaniel Lee's Sophonisba of 1676; Brett-Smith.571).

i started making a list of playbooks with these enigmatic stamps back in 2014-15 as i was surveying playbooks for TYPOGRAPHIES OF PERFORMANCE—i’m truly excited to see in print this excellent explanation by David McInnis & emma koch of what on earth they are!

check it out!
