Thanks for normalizing rejections as academics! Particularly for graduate students it's often difficult to grasp how much more rejections (most of us) receive compared to the accept. It's normal - embrace it! - love the party idea, as well!

I just want to say - there IS a significant difference between leading an action and doing it alongside someone. I am sure even to this day men are more represented as leading - and women as doing alongside. Even though they are doing the very same thing.
