6 years today since I started in my Lead Nurse role for Yorkshire Organ Donation Services Team It’s the longest I’ve been in one role since I qualified as a nurse and there’s a reason for that - our awesome team and the amazing work we do. Lily has had the best 2 years New College Doncaster Thanks to her tutors and also to whoever it was who guided her to take BTECS rather than A levels. I wasn’t convinced at the time but it’s been the best decision. Her next chapter starts in September but for now, sixth form college…

Such sad news to wake up to yesterday morning. Marks passion for organ and tissue donation post SPK transplant was admirable. Mark will be missed by all of us in Yorkshire Organ Donation Services Team and the ODC’s York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS FT and Harrogate NHS FT and his fellow #organdonation Ambassadors 💔 NHS Blood+Transplant

Time doesn’t heal, it just makes the pain a little easier to bear. 12 years with her and now 33 years without her but she left me with a lifetime of wonderful memories and I’m so lucky to have had her and call her my mum #childbereavement Child Bereavement UK

Today, we said goodbye to a much loved and admired Organ Donation Committee Chair - Lorraine McLeavey. This rare Blue Jay Award was given to Lorraine a few days before her passing. Her family especially husband Mike are extremely proud of this award as we all are in Yorkshire.💗

Jayne and Paul Knight are a great team who work so hard alongside the ODC to ensure organ and tissue donation is considered for all eligible patients at end of life. Yorkshire Organ Donation Services Team are always welcomed as a part of the team in Trust and it’s a pleasure to call them colleagues
