I am blown away by this new work from Francesca Fardo and her lab biorxiv.org/content/10.110… - they developed & validated a 2D adaptive model to estimate the thermal grill illusion - it reliably finds combinations of non-painful cold & warm stimuli that together elicit heat pain!

New psychedelic scales: MEQ-4 & CEQ-7. I originally intended them as brief versions of older mystical & challenging experience scales for when time was tight, but data were so strong they are recommended for all MEQ/CEQ assessment. Validation in thread: liebertpub.com/doi/full/10.10…

It's intriguing that our field mostly can't agree whether or not typical psychological support in psilocybin clinical trials is or is not psychotherapy.

This makes it hard to test whether and how psychotherapy is needed
