Stef I think you’re wrong. I just think Bogarde was far too confident tonight playing a lower league side. When he plays prem teams he had more respect. It was a reality check for him that you need to keep that respect no matter what side you play. Swinkels was very good though

Dan Bardell Happy to see Buendia, he certainly needed those minute. Cant agree on Bogarde, I find him a liability at times, either losing the ball or playing team mates into trouble. It’s very clear that Tielemans is everything in that midfield. We’re pretty woeful without him.

tryhardbrumski Nah. Swinkels needs to get out and play senior football to kick his career on again. Bogarde needs to rub his greenness off playing senior football too. Bogarde will prove useful as the season progresses I think.

Matt Because Bogarde has been selected to play at the top level for Villa this season, and struggled a lot, ahead of other defenders with more experience in Kosta.

Dan Colquhoun Ahead of who, cash is injured. Konsa is way better and important at CB for us than Bogarde is weak as cover at RB. For me on balance making do with Bogarde at RB has made sense so far for the benefit of Konsa whew he should be. Plus Carlos is captain clanger and not good enough.

Adz Yeah I think some of our fans forget how young these players are. Seen them called shit and all sorts tonight 🤦. Emery certainly sees something in Bogarde so you can only trust that. Physically he has a lot to do but technically very good
