The First Minister will announce the Programme for Government in Scottish Parliament on Wednesday, subject to Parliamentary approval. It will focus on eradicating child poverty, growing the economy, tackling the climate emergency, delivering high quality and sustainable public services.

The date of the 2025-26 Scottish Budget has been proposed for 4 December, subject to the agreement of Finance and Public Admn Committee and Scottish Fiscal Commission. The Budget will outline the Scottish Government’s proposed spending plans for the next financial year.
