I am excited to share this work with you! We show that conidia (asexual spores) accumulate trehalose and mannitol during the spore maturation process. Conidia lacking these compatible solutes are extremely heat sensitive (16 orders of magnitude!!). (1/6) doi.org/10.1186/s40694…
