Normalizing extremism in politics by presenting it as balanced is an increasing failure of #MSM. MSM must be a filter, otherwise you're just #socmed. Crappy reporting from The Daily Telegraph discussed šŸ‘‡is not a surprise. healthydebate.ca/2024/07/topic/ā€¦

Great šŸ§µ on the differential diagnosis of an inflammatory arthritis. It underscores that taking short cuts to diagnosis without a proper history & physical exam leads to unnecessary procedures and potential adverse patient outcomes. Knowing a diagnosis is better than guessing.

Our 14-year-old dog Abbey died last month. The day after she passed away my 4-year-old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that

Says every ID doc everywhere. The indiscriminate ordering of Echos often leads to erroneous diagnoses of infective endocarditis particularly in the elderly. I donā€™t think Iā€™ve ever seen a ā€œnormalā€ echo in an 80 year old. Remember their ā¤ļø valves are also 80 years old.

This paper on thromboinflammation is everywhere this week. Unfortunately nobody commenting on it seems to have read it! I have, and it definitely doesn't say what commentators are suggesting. šŸ§µnature.com/articles/s4158ā€¦

Reality: - There is a mountain of evidence on vaccines. - NO good evidence supporting the fearmongering bunk (eg, "died suddenly" BS). - Increasingly, antivaxx noise is about politics. This is killing people. My new article reviews the evidence.šŸ‘‡ #VaccinesWork

Worth a read to see how the so-called 'Wellness' industry is adversely affecting good evidence-based health care. Kudos Andrea C. Love, Ph.D. šŸ‘©šŸ»ā€šŸ”¬šŸ”¬šŸ’‰ & Dr. Katie Suleta. medpagetoday.com/opinion/secondā€¦

An uncomfortable truth. Although normal aging is a physiologic process, it can also be an explanation for symptoms we develop as we all grow older. Searching for pathologic reasons for those symptoms can be fraught with harms. medpagetoday.com/opinion/secondā€¦
