Wishing volcanic pōhaku (rock) Kānepō a safe journey back to the island of Hawaiʻi. This summer, following a ceremony led by Hālau ‘Ōhi‘a at #2024Folklife, Kānepō returns home after 20 years representing the Hawaiian people at National Museum of the American Indian. More at s.si.edu/Kanepo.
