It looks unassuming, but it is probably the nicest thing I’ve gotten for myself as an artist. Think I’m finally starting to consider myself a “real artist” 😌

I grew up painting on kitchen tables & living room floors. Eventually, I bought an inexpensive easel, but it started falling apart during grad school. A few months ago I finally ordered myself an amazing metal easel. It arrived today! 🤩

I made a wedding registry to crowdfund this beautiful, fancy pumpkin dish (and a telescope!) & am so thankful for the people who contributed! I will now search for the coolest space-themed thank you cards. 😭

I’m trying to find my #astroart people, anyone out there?
These new oil paintings are available in my shop, high quality oil paint on wood slices sourced from a local CO wood shop. The Moon, Pleiades, Cygnus Loop Nebula (based on a @nasa image), and Lepus (Hare) Constellation.

Finally testing some big lights in my studio. Think I might finally be able to paint in oils at night now! As long as the shadows don’t distract me too much 😆. I always paint during the day because these pieces require excellent light for color mixing & blending.
