With today's rainfall of 3.4mm so far we are at 163mm for October at Canberra Airport - rainiest October since records started in 1939 (previous record 161mm in 1976). Based on Duntroon Military College and Queanbeyan Bowling Club records it's presumably the rainiest since 1934.
