One of the best ways we can combat the recent rise in hate crimes across communities is bringing people together.

This week Mayor Eric Adams hosted a roundtable with Jewish, Muslim, and Christian faith and community leaders to talk about the issues and create a safer NYC.

Any act of hatred is an attack on ALL New Yorkers. And we stand together in our city. Proud to join the ADL in Van Cortlandt Park today to say in one voice: hate has no home in New York City.

O'Shae Sibley’s murder was a hate crime. Period. He should still be alive today, but the joy he brought his community will never be forgotten.

While nothing can bring him back, today we can confirm his killer has been taken into custody and will face justice.

O’Shae Sibley's life and beautiful spirit were cut short by homophobia. Bigotry can never take root in our city. Being a New Yorker means knowing and loving people of all backgrounds.

We'll bring justice for O'Shae's family and loved ones. His dancing joy will live on.
