1/ When studying the ecology of animals or plants, many of the life history details required to formulate the research questions and to design the study fall into the category of the obvious, or at least easy to assess. In microbial ecology, nothing is obvious.

I am so happy this paper is out! A great milestone towards understanding life-history and metabolic trade-offs in fungi!
