I go to Arlington to visit my father's marker. The solemnity of families grieving and remembering loved ones permeates the grounds; a mother weeping, an honor guard firing a salute. Am I surprised Trump's campaign would act like this? No. Does it still break my heart a bit? Yes.

There have been a ton of headlines over the last few days about JD Vance promising that Trump won’t support national abortion ban. But what reporters haven’t picked up on is that Vance used the word ‘ban’ in a very particular way to lie in plain sight.
