The Curlew is sadly in desperate trouble in Ireland today and preserving its habitats is the key to saving them. More wetland habitats needs to be set aside for this beautiful bird. Its extinction in Ireland during our lifetime would be nothing short of a tragedy.

Well done to Kilkenny County Council and their rural anti litter campaign. Please help us and come out this weekend to carry out a major cleanup nationwide around the rural roads of Ireland. Over 150 volunteers will take part. Please join us and clean up the roads.

Happy International Curlew Day....let us all hope that we can save the species from extinction as a breeding species in Ireland so that future generations can appreciate the sounds of Curlew over a summer bog.
