Professionally this year was hugely challenging. But there were some amazing highlights. After 7 years I got my PhD over the line, in November a disk of my music was released and December with Ensemble 1604 we performed that music. Big thanks to The Night With for their support.

Part of the magic of the Festival has been in bringing musicians together in unexpected ways, when one sound check over ran Emma Lloyd & Moussa Dembélé struck up a jam session in another room and let us listen in. Unplanned, unexpected, and unmissable!

Today at The Engine Works in #Glasgow : The Night With festival 2023. It offers concerts designed to be an informal & welcoming experience for everyone. LMNS Twogether Duo is giving the premiere of our Kimie Composition Prize commission, ‘Babbling and Breathing’, by Amy Stewart.

Superb start to a new festival yesterday The Night With - hugely varied, high quality new music, beautiful venue, friendly, warm yet attentive atmosphere. Many highlights but for me Claire McCue's Flicker & hearing Vivier's Zipangu live for 1st time United Strings of Europe unforgettable.
