My thoughts today with the Grenfell community as the Grenfell Tower Inquiry Phase 2 report is published. 💚 Here is the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan’s statement:

Until we can say with confidence the failings that led to Grenfell can never be repeated, many of the bereaved, survivors & residents will never feel that that they can truly rest. The road to justice is still too long - and change must be delivered.

Silvertown Quays stood derelict for 40 years, so it was fantastic to attend the topping out ceremony for the first new affordable homes on the site, delivered in partnership between Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan Lendlease Guinness Partnership Newham London 💙 and Homes England.

I know from my own experience as a child what a difference free school meals can make. I’m determined to ensure that no child in the capital goes hungry. That’s why for as long as I am Mayor all state primary school children will be offered free school meals.
