Ever been riding with someone new to biking or from out of town and you feel it’s your personal responsibility to protect them and keep them safe the entire ride?
Would be really great if our cities felt like this.

Holding the door open for someone is a common courtesy.
Stopping your car and not hitting someone with it while they cross the street is not an act of kindness or courtesy. It is the bare minimum of your responsibility as a driver. Let's not confuse courtesy and responsibility.

No words for how horrible this is, how justice is continually denied for St. Anne’s Indian Residential School survivors, their families. Canada should have done the right thing when this all first started. Release the records and OPP reports which detail abuse. How hard is this?

It should be illegal to make someone who just had a major surgery care for a newborn but hospitals do it to c section patients every day.

A2 commuters literally will not stop for you and a kid at a mid-block crosswalk on the way to school wo a guard (who said the job is scary). When kids walked alone a busybody complained on Nextdoor like it shouldn’t be allowed. Ugh. Stop it.

For 60 years, car advertising has programmed us to think that driving is freedom; that driving — even reckless driving — is a symbol of status & power. But what if a car marketing vet (Tom Flood) used his skills to highlight the insanity of car culture? sf.streetsblog.org/2020/11/05/rep…

Throw back to last Thursday when myself, John Munro and a bunch of great folks were showing Tom Flood the good, the bad and the ugly of cycling in a UK city. Yes, we made him bike down an urban dual carriageway 😝

WATCH: ordinary residents in are now acting as 'human bollards' to protect cyclists, pedestrians and children from drivers who flout the rules, and vandals who have destroyed the physical bollards. Extraordinary, really.
