We discussed what ideal fieldwork should entail, including aspects that went well and those that didn't. Anthropologists need time to themselves at their fieldsite for various reasons; fieldwork can be intense, and by having our own time, we can recharge and rejuvenate our minds.

It's a wrap-up of the second session on post-PhD life. During the Q&A sessions, students share the challenges they face and seek advice to prepare themselves for the transition to post-PhD journeys.

Second session on “Alt-Ac Career Stories”! The session is moderated by Pranjali Das. Featuring three exceptional graduates Dr. Kirsty Wissing, Dr. Ian Pollock, and Dr. Sophie Pezzuttowho who have successfully transitioned into non-academic roles post-PhD.

First session wrap-up: Reflective discussion on our research objects led by Associate Prof Yasmine Musharbash and Ayesha. Ayesha and Maddie discussed symbolism, Ruonan on medical anthropology and Pranjali on positionalities. Lots of insights and apple crumble to wrap up!
