#InternationalDanceDay , a global celebration of dance, is held annually #OnThisDay . This heavily embellished grey synthetic and net tutu was worn in a 1975 production of Fredrick Ashton’s The Dream, based on A Midsummer's Night Dream, by

This is something to celebrate, a new exhibition opening in June OKC Museum of Art dedicated to costume designer Edith Head. Her work featured in movies galore, not least those starring Grace Kelly. This costume worn by Kelly in 1954 Rear Window, Collection of Motion Picture Costume Design
Appreciating the value of cloth was taken for granted for much of the #c19th . This luminous floral brocade comes from a much earlier garment of the #c18th but was #refashioned into a different style sometime perhaps half a century later. John Bright Collection #fashionhistory
