Was he the best that applied for the job? No!! This is the typical Nigerian case. Presenting an awesome CV to be selected is an undoing. The more incompetence you show, the higher your chances of ascendancy to the top. Our very worst are those steering the leadership wheel.

In Global North, the design of govt is to serve people, hence people service come tops in their manifestos. During colonisation, govt was designed for exploitation. South leaders are only sustaining this colonial heritage. Any attempt to be free is resisted. Study Haiti closely!

In this short article, I argue that the increase in the minimum wage will not be inflationary.

This is not just laughable but shows how horrible we are as a country in making serious decisions. Adjusting minimum wage arbitrarily using inflation and exchange rates is a scorn at the volume of intelligence resident in Nigeria.

The labour and govt should bury heads in shame!

A serious government would have since commissioned a research team to provide scientific evidence on what a living wage should be. Provide current and informed-estimated realities into the future. Then, demonstrate example by cutting its cost and shun frivolities. Smh!

I am not sorry to say this, the least intelligent persons are our leaders. I have wondered about the research evidence being used to determine the minimum wage. Invest in hard scientific process. Present evidence to parties involved. Use models to predict future. Ridiculous!

In 2023, under 50% of Nigerian doctors renewed their licenses. Over 100k Nigerian nurses are practicing in the US. Frightening stats for Nigeria’s health system. Encouragingly, stakeholders are committed to things around.
